Product description
Helmets like this were used throughout Europe between the 11th and early 14th centuries. This type of helmet was a development of the Spangenhelm but had a bowl made of a single piece of steel, making it considerably sturdier. Nasal helmets are depicted on the Bayeux Tapestry (after 1066) and in the Maciejowski Bible (1240). They were widely used during the Crusades. This type of helmet is ideal for medieval, Norman and even late Viking re-enactment.
