Product description

This basket helmet is a replica of a 13th century original depicted on an English seal. The stamp is now part of the collection of the British Museum in London. Basket helmets like this were worn by the knights all over Europe. They were worn during the Crusades and many other European conflicts. This helmet has an antique (patinated) finish, making it look as if it has survived the test of time. The maximum inner circumference is 68 cm, excluding helmet insert. This helmet is equipped with an inlay and chin strap. If you want to wear extra padding, measure your head circumference while wearing it. The padded insert already attached to the inside of the helmet is usually sufficient. To create more space in the helmet, the helmet insert can be removed.
