Product description

The Cabasset or morion was one of the most popular late 15th-16th century helmets. The Cabasset is a further development of the medieval kettle hat and, like the kettle hat, offered very good protection against blows and projectiles from above. Helmets like this were worn by both infantry and cavalry. This morion has upright edges, which provided an extra field of view. The morion was often decorated with feathers, giving an army an extra impressive appearance. The maximum inner circumference is 70 cm, excluding helmet insert. This helmet has a helmet insert and chin strap. This helmet has an antique finish and is patinated. This makes it look lifelike as if it has survived the test of time. To create more space in the helmet, the helmet insert can be removed.
