This Anglo-Saxon cloak buckle is based on a 6th century original excavated in Eriswell. Cloak buckles like this were worn by all Germanic tribes. The buckle is designed with several spiral motifs. Spirals were already used in European art since the Stone Age.
This cloak buckle measures 2 x 2 cm and is competely handmade of brass.
