Product description

A beautiful Viking axe by Windlass Steelcraft with an engraving of a dragon from the Viking saga. The Vikings fought with sword, seax, axe, spear and round shield. The weapons of rich and highly regarded Vikings were elaborately decorated with motifs from Viking mythology, among others. Dragons, for example, appear in the Prose Edda by the Icelandic Snorri Sturluson. A well-known Viking dragon is Nidhoggr, who gnaws at the roots of the Yggdrasil tree. The roots grow over Niflheim. The dragon is engraved in beautiful Viking knotwork. A beautiful decorative axe for on the wall, for Viking reenactment battles or for a Vikings Cosplay.
