Product description
This tunic is based on original fragments from find B23 in Birka. Birka was an important trading city in (early) medieval Sweden. For example, in one of the graves a ring with Arabic inscription was found, which shows that Birka also maintained trade contacts with the Orient in addition to Scandinavian, Finnish, Western European and Central European trade. The city's trading position declined when around 1000 a Christian city was founded nearby.
The Knut tunic is suitable for re-enacting, Cosplays and LARP from the Great Migration to the High Middle Ages. It is made of 100% cotton and has an ornate embroidered edge at the neckline. The tunic can be comfortably worn thanks to the split at the front and the extra fabric on the sides, also called gores. This makes the tunic perfect for fighting, running, climbing and horseback riding. The neck has a split, which can be worn open or closed with a fibula.
