Valkyries are mythological figures from Norse mythology often associated with the god Odin. They are described as warrior women who ride through the sky on their winged horses and gather fallen warriors on the battlefield to guide them to Valhalla, a great hall where fallen heroes are welcomed into the afterlife.
Outside of the sagas, there is not much concrete evidence for the existence of female warriors. With this composition we tried to visualize what valkyries might have looked like.
