Get the look: Warrior monk, Tradition of the Open Hand

Would you like to put together a warrior monk costume and are you looking for inspiration? In this blog you can read all about my ready-to-wear warrior monk. This way you can immediately get started with your own warrior monk character and costume!

This monk lives in a rocky area, veined with rivers and waterfalls. Her monastery follows the tradition of the Open Hand. Because of this, Sylva is trained in the martial arts. Her hermit background is reflected in her simple outfit.

I put together this monk for a female character, but this outfit is also perfectly usable for a male monk.

Ears

The monk is a halfling and therefore has pointy ears.

The ears in this outfit are: https://www.celticwebmerchant.co.uk/classical-elven-ears-s.html

To fix them use Mastix Spirit glue and Mastix Spirit glue remover

Do you roleplay another Race, such as a drow, half orc or even dragonborn?

Here you will find enough masks, noses, ears, teeth and horns to make up your character:

Weapon

The monk's greatest weapon is the unarmed strike, or fighting without weapons. With her grace and patience, she smoothly steps away from an attack, only to take out her opponent with a number of well-aimed blows.

Sylva carries a quarterstaff to support her on her wanderings:

Since she possesses proficiency with simple weapons and shortswords, she could also carry one of the following weapons:

Club

Mace

Spear

Shortsword

Trousers

Freedom of movement is important for a fighting character. The white color of her clothing reflects the simplicity and cleanliness of her order.

Of course you can also vary this yourself depending on your own story.

Skirt

Sylva's blue skirt is a symbol of her spiritual willpower and tranquility. Because the skirt is open at the back, there is plenty of room to jump, run and kick.

Blouse

The three-quarter sleeves of this blouse leave the forearms free.

Would you rather cover your arms completely? Then find another blouse in the same simple style, such as:

or

Footwear

Sylva is not impressed by cold weather at first glance. But you could easily complete the outfit with a pair of simple shoes or sandals, such as:
