This beautiful hairpin is a replica of an original from the Late Bronze Age. The original of this hairpin dates from the 6th-7th century AD. Spirals like this were already used in European art since the Stone Age. During the Late Bronze Age they were appropriated in the Celtic Hallstatt and La Tene art styles.
