This bust is a replica of a classical original from the 1st century BC. The original is nowadays part of the collection of the archaeological museum in Napels.
Homerus was a Greek poet and singer and he presumably lived from 800 BC to 750 BC. He wrote epic poems, in which he describes a large number of heroic sagas, stories about gods and mythical narratives
This bust is made of plaster alabaster with an antique patina layer. It measures approx. 17 cm.
