Product description
Over the centuries, the drinking horn has been used by different peoples as a cup during ceremonies and celebrations. The use of the drinking horn is even mentioned in the Edda. This horn is perfect for Viking reenactment, home decor, LARP and makes a wonderful gift. This drinking horn is hand made from buffalo horn and is polished. It comes with a metal stand with which you can place it on the table. The horn is inscribed with the Viking god Odin riding his horse Sleipnir. This design comes from an 8th century stone found on the island of Gotland in Sweden. Visby was a large early medieval Viking town on this island. The stone is on display at the Swedish Historical Museum in Stockholm.
