This coin is a replica of originals that were minted during the reign of the English Queen Elisabeth I. The head shows the Archangel St Michael who stands on a dragon with both feet. He is about to stab the dragon with a cross-shaped lance. This side has the inscription: ELIZABETH D G ANG FRANCIE (Elizabeth by the Grace of God England, France). The other side of the coin has the depiction of a ship with a shield, cross and rose. With the text ET HIBERNIE REGINA FIDEI (and Ireland Queen of the Faith).
