Product description

This jewel is a replica of a Frankish/Merovingian original from the 7th/8th century. It was found in a grave field in Picquigny in France. This beautiful jewel reflects the wealth from the early Middle Ages. The original is currently part of the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, England. Unlike the original, the 'crystal' of this jewel is made of polished glass. The glass is hand crafted and almost indistinguishable from real crystal.
