Gambeson gorgets like this were worn during the Middle Ages. They are depicted in the Morgan bible and other medieval visual art. The Leopold gambeson gorget has been developed to protect the neck during reenactment and LARP battles. At the front, it can be tied with laces. The gambeson gorget is perfect for wearing under chainmail or large helmets like the armets and bascinets. This gambeson gorget has an exterior made of rough woven canvas with a polyester padding.
