Product description

This ancient Greek coin (Stater) is a replica of several originals from the 6th century AD. The coin was minted in the Greek city state of Athens. Coins like this were used all over the Mediterranean world and are excavated in a.o. the Greek-Italic city of Syracuse.
This Stater shows on one side the owl with the text Athe (Athena). The other side of the coin shows the goddess herself.
This coin is made of silvered pewter. It has a diameter of approx. 2 cm.
