Product description

The hand-and-a-half sword William is made after a 14th ? 15th century original. Around this period swords became more and more typical like this long scent stopper pommel. Swords like this were used all over Europe and originals of swords like this are part of the collections of the Royal Armouries of Leeds, The London Museum, Musée de L?Armée in Paris and the Royal Treasury of Vienna.

This sword has a length of 113 cm with a blade of 85 cm and a cross-guard of 24 cm. It weighs approx. 1,7 kg. The blade of the sword is provided with two fullers for a ligher weight. The finish of the sword shows obvious Renaissance influences. This sword is an Oakeshott type XVa.
