This jewel is based on an Egyptian monument erected by Cleopatra VII. Cleopatra was the last ruler of the Ptolomaean dynasty. Presumably Cleopatra had Egyptian and Greek blood. She is known for her marriage to Gaius Julius Caesar and later with Marcus Antonius. This jewel is made of gilded leadless pewter.
