Product description

This jewel is a replica of one of the decorative helmet plates that were excavated in Torslunda, Sweden. The helmet plate depicts a richly dressed warrior from the Vendel period. Helmets like the one depicted on this jewel, often almost completely consisted of decorative helmet plates. The warrior wears a spear, sword and wears an embroidered tunic. Helmets like this were excavated in a.o. Vendel, Valsgarde and at Sutton Hoo in England.
