Product description

This doublet is a lightweight jacket inspired by Renaissance style. It’s made from high-quality cotton and lined with a light cotton inner layer, making it comfortable to wear. The front can be fastened with decorative metal buttons, adding an authentic touch. This jacket keeps you warm on colder days while remaining breathable for comfort.

This doublet features a classic hip length and a broad, split waistband that gives it an elegant look. The sleeves are typical for the period, cut halfway open to allow extra freedom of movement, making the doublet functional and suitable for warmer days while still looking refined.

Historically, the doublet was worn by both men and women from the late Middle Ages through the Renaissance. Originally serving as an underlayer, it evolved into a fashionable garment that was often richly decorated in the upper social classes. The doublet was especially popular with soldiers and knights, as it provided freedom of movement and light protection, making it a practical and stylish piece for various occasions, from everyday wear to formal events. This doublet combines its historical look with modern materials, perfect for reenactment, LARP, or simply as a unique garment.
