The so-called kite shields was originally designed for cavalrymen, but became popular amongst foot soldiers because it protected their fore legs. The kite shield is associated mainly with the Normans, who can be seen using it on the Bayeux tapestry.
This battle-ready Norman shield is made from plywood and ideal for combat. It is 134 cm high, max. 56 cm wide and weighs ca. 2,85 kg.

Recycle the material by separating your waste:
1. Cardboard: separate or reuse your paper.
2. Plastic cushions, clothing bags and plastic tape: separate or reuse your plastic. If possible, pierce the cushions with a volume reduction needle.
3. Paper packaging for jewelry and small items: these have a plastic inner layer. Remove these, then separate your paper and plastic.
