Product description

This pendant shows Thor sitting on his throne while holding the Thor's hammer. It is inspired by the Icelandic statue of Thor from 1000 AD, found on the Eyarland farm near Akureyri. The original can be seen in the National Museum in Iceland. In Icelandic tradition, the Mjolnir is often shown as a cross shape. The statue may be based on a scene from the Edda, where Thor is sitting and grasps his Hammer with both hands during a wedding ceremony.
