Product description

The pourpoint, also called doublet, is a garment for men which was worn from the fifteenth to the middle of the seventeenth century. The garment originated in southern Europe and spread as fashion over the rest of northwestern Europe. The pourpoint was carried close to the body for warmth and to emphasize the physical forms.

This pourpoint is suitable for re-enactment and LARP of Renaissance, Tudor, Eighty Years' War and other events from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. It is made of 100% cotton and can also be worn on warm days. The sleeves are removable with laces.
