This beautifully decorated belt end is perfect if you want to make your own Roman belts or as a spare part. This belt fitting is based on an original from the 2nd half of the 1st century AD. and was found in Serbia, near Tekija which was part of the Roman province of Pannonia. Originally, it was mounted on the end of 1 of the vertically hanging leather belt straps on the cingulum of a Roman legionary. The belt fitting is made of brass with a layer of pewter, so that it looks like it is made of silver. It has pre-drilled holes for fastening to a belt strap.
