Product description

This is a splendid replica of a late Roman pan or patera, which was used for all kinds of purposes. The original was found near the fort Gelduba (Krefeld-Gellep, Germany) and originates from the 3rd century AD.

The grip can be folded in and is attached to the pan with two screws. The pan has a spout on the side to drain off fat, just like the original. The pan is made of 16 mm thic steel and the grip is made of iron.

Its length is 57 cm and it has a diameter of 27 cm. The height of the edge is 48 mm and the pan weighs 1,25 kg.

This item is greased before shipment. Remove the grease with warm water and dishwashing detergent (degreaser). Remove rust with steelwool or burn it away on a campfire. Our pans are not tinned.

Washing-up instructions: Wash by hand, not suitable for dishwashing machines.
This item is produced in limited quantities only. This means that sizes may vary lightly from piece to piece, and that the item is not tested by an official authority on suitability for food preparation.

Recycle the material by separating your waste:
1. Cardboard: separate or reuse your paper.
2. Plastic cushions, clothing bags and plastic tape: separate or reuse your plastic. If possible, pierce the cushions with a volume reduction needle.
3. Paper packaging for jewelry and small items: these have a plastic inner layer. Remove these, then separate your paper and plastic.
