Description

This Roman lantern is based on originals from the 1st-3rd century AD, found in Pompeii, Libya and England. So these lanterns were used all over the Roman Empire. The lantern has 3 brass chains for hanging it. There is also a handle at the end so you can walk around with the lantern, but you can also put it on the table. The lantern is made of brass and parchment with ventilation holes. The inside of the lantern has an oil container that you can take out for an oil refill. Then you can light the lantern in an authentic way with vegetable oil and a wick. You can also take out the oil container and illuminate the interior with a tea light or larger candle. This is a wonderful accessory for Roman reenactment, living history and LARP. It is also a work of art at home in the garden and the living room that you will surely enjoy for many years.
