Product description

A wonderful accessory for Roman re-enactment and for making your own costumes. In the Roman army, phalerae (discs that symbolized medal or trophy) or torques were given as a reward to soldiers who had distinguished themselves in battle. They were made of silver, bronze or gold. During military parades, Romans wore the phalerae on their leather armor. The torcs were worn at the level of the collarbone, on a red scarf known as focale. These torques are decorated with lion heads and are delivered in pairs. They have a diameter of 11.5 cm.
