Product description

The schiavona was a basket hilted sword that was developed in the 16th and 17th century in Italy. It is called like this because it originates from the swords of the Venetian Guard of the doge which mainly consisted of Slavic guards. This sabre is made after an Italian schaviona from the early 17th century. Nowadays it is part of the collection of the Military History Museum in Prague.
