Product description
The basket hilted broadsword was mainly employed by the Scots. Such swords are sometimes also referred to as basket hilted claymores, as the blade was often crafted from a broken claymore blade. The grip was surrounded by a large basket, which not only protected the hand but also provided better balance. This broadsword features a Glasgow type basket lined with red textile. The wooden grip is wrapped with leather and steel wire.
