Product description

The tartan is the famous Scottish plaid fabric in which alternating colored rows of threads are interwoven. This material has been worn throughout history in Scotland, also the Celts were known to wear this material and the fabric was already known in Roman times for its quality and unique appearance.

The traditional Scottish costume consisted of the brat, leine and ionar and this was worn for centuries. The brat was a cloak that could be worn over the shoulders. The way of wearing the plaid is similar to the brat. The plaid can be worn over the kilt and the belt must hold it in place so that it does not fall off.

The plaid can also be used as a warm scarf or as a blanket or home decoration.
