Product description

The clothing of the Templars, along with their flags and banners, featured a white color, symbolizing their religious calling, and a red cross with broad arms placed on the center of their chest. This symbol was meant to represent the four elements (the arms) and the "quintessence" (the center). The vermilion cross was granted by Pope Eugene III in 1147, allowing it to be used as a shield and serving to keep the Templars resolute in their fight against the infidels.

The spread of this Templar cross knew no boundaries, as it became widely recognized and used throughout the world. It was even adopted by Christopher Columbus during his voyages of discovery as a symbol on the "three caravels." This 'stone' is made of synthetic resin with a sandstone look. This material is suitable for use under the open air. However, the colour of the stone finish may fade a little over time in direct sunlight.
