This closed helmet or armet is based on several late 15th - early 16th century originals. The armet was used from the first half of the 15th century, the Churburg S18 armet is an example of this. This later type was used until the beginning of the 17th century. Often exclusively for tournaments and as a status symbol. This armet is equipped with a chin guard that can be closed completely. The rope-shaped lower edge can optionally be overlapped over high gorgets. It is equipped with air holes on both sides of the visor for extra wearing comfort and vision.
