Product description
This bag decoration is made after a historical original excavated in the Viking trading town of Birka in Sweden. It is inspired on the art style of the Magyars. It measures 8,5 x 7,5 cm. The Magyars were a nomadic people that invaded Europe during the 9th century AD and settled in Hungary. The eastern Vikings traded with them and presumably used their art motives in their own objects. Birka was a city where Vikings from whole Europe traded and exchanged items, like this fitting.
