Product description

This Viking brooch is a replica of a 10th century original excavated in Tranby, Norway. It is made in the transitional period between the art styles Jellingen and Borre. Decorations like this were worn by the Vikings in the shape of a brooch. Originally these decorations were used by the early Franks as sword scabbard and shield decorations.
