Product description
This scale armor is based on fragments found in the Viking city of Birka and in Visby on Gotland. Shell and slat armor was used from classical antiquity well into the Middle Ages. There are some examples where scale armor was also used by the Vikings. This tradition may have been imported from the Byzantine Empire.
This scale armor can be worn separately or over chain mail. It can be easily repaired with loose parts and adjusted to size.
