Product description

A beautiful Viking seax from Windlass Steelcraft based on a historical sword with runes found in the Thames. Today it can be seen in the collection of the British Museum in London. The seax blade is fully engraved with Runes on one side. These are the letters of the runic alphabet. The Vikings believed that runes had magical powers and engraved them in their swords, knives and axes for extra strength during battle. The grip is beautifully wrapped with brown leather. The seax is delivered including a scabbard so you can hang it on your belt. The semi-sharp tempered blade is forged from 1065 carbon steel and has a hardness of 48-52 HRC. A beautiful seax to place on a sword display at home, also perfect for Viking reenactment and Vikings Cosplay. When you blunten the seax, it is an excellent battle ready sword for sword fighting during Viking reenactment battles and a perfect training sword for Historical European Martial Arts.
