Product description

Wooden swords are a great alternative to steel swords for training. They are cheaper than steel swords. If you alternate training with a wooden weapon a few times a month, your expensive sword will last much longer. Wooden weapons are also suitable for children. For reenactment groups and sword fighting schools, wooden weapons are great for teaching people how to sword fight, especially since beginners are still handling the sword incorrectly and can cause accidental damage to the blade. This wooden gladius is based on original Roman swords from Antiquity, used by the Roman legionaries or foot soldiers. The gladius is made of contrasting light and dark hardwood.
