This round shield is based on different pieces. Such shields were used in Northern Europe from the early Middle Ages onwards. Especially the Franks, Vikings and Anglo-Saxons are known to have used round shields.
This shield consists of different pieces of wood, just as original ones, which are connected to each other on two sides. The shield is beaten with an iron cross and has an iron rim for extra sturdiness. The backside is covered with leather.
This shield has a diameter of 61 cm and is 1,4 cm thick. It weighs approx. 3,6 kg.

1. Cardboard: separate or reuse your paper.
2. Plastic cushions, clothing bags and plastic tape: separate or reuse your plastic. If possible, pierce the cushions with a volume reduction needle.
3. Paper packaging for jewelry and small items: these have a plastic inner layer. Remove these, then separate your paper and plastic.
