Product description
This wooden sheet is a replica of originals excavated at a military camp at Vindolanda near the current border between England and Scotland. The originals were used by auxiliae to send mesages to each other and to their families. It was a historical 'app', some of the messages for example are about a soldier who asks his family for warmer socks. The size of the wooden sheet is based on the sizes of the originals. The sheet can be folded and tied with a cord in the original style.
